So your motto is "punish everyone because some of them are lazy bums"? I really hope your job is on the line.

You're really running out of piss and wind when you have to revert to taking the piss out of simple typos. Glad to see you don't give a damn.

Other than his weird union obsession I pretty much agree with most of what BG says maybe one day I'll meet him and we will go have a beer together and laugh about any disagreement.

In the mean time you Riez you you you you.

I see a conservative in the making. When your responsible over the span of a few years and pay the price when your not. You begin to resent the irresponsible fucks that get to live a charmed life off your hard work.

Kudos for paying your own way.

Having been a union member all my life including being president of an ironworkers local and a union steward probably covers the obsession about unions.

I do enjoy playing Devils' Advocate (and fucking with people) whenever possible, it keeps things interesting. I don't consider anything that is posted on the internet as something to take to heart.

The crappy thing about the 'system' is that it's usually the ones who need it who cant get it, and the lazy ass ones who need to get off their ass and work are the ones who whisk right through the system. Who has heard of someone being too fat to work? Stop giving them aid and they will lose weight.

What has a union done in the last 10 years to make a difference in the way people work/live/retire?

Unions had their place at one point, but now have gone completely asinine with their demands.

I'd post more, but my local #408 forbids me from working more than 24 hours a week, so that I can retain my excellent health care and free meals.

Kind of on the same page as what the government does to their spoon-fed subjects.

Unions are big around here. People like to graffiti "scab" on stuff. And for a while, there was always a big group of them somewhere picketing with their signs and big huge inflatable rats and stuff. Funny, you would only see them on the nice days though. I guess 'causes' have to coincide with good weather days. Funny how people are like that, huh?

There was a stink a few years ago down here about the Augusta National only having male members. So the National Organization for Women decided to protest. The funny thing is, the Augusta National donated them land to use for the protest, and when they couldnt get enough people to protest they ran an ad in the Atlanta paper paying protestors 75.00 to ride a chartered bus down to protest. There were more protesters, protesting the protest than there were people protesting the Augusta National. I watched the whole thing unfold. The camera crews arrived when the bus did. They gave out pre-made signs to the people getting off the bus. Martha Burk made her 4 minute speech and the camera crews packed up, the bus loaded up and they were all gone.

Of course on the news locally it was a big joke, but on the national news they made it look like it was a near riot. Michael Moore would have been proud. The funniest thing I saw was a guy walking around in a tuxedo with a sign that read 'Formal Protest'. Cracked me up.

(The Augusta National was actually in the process of offering Sandra Day O'Connor membership at the time, but since they are a private club, they kept that information under wraps. She didnt want to become a member until she was off of the supreme court)

That's funny in once sense and not in the other.

Reminds me of the State Tax protests in Nashville. They protested everyday for weeks and there would be thousands of protesters show up. If you drove by the capital you would see a few dozen pro-tax anti-protesters also. But the camera crews would coordinate with the anti protesters and make sure they got all 24 on the camera at an angle then get an angle of some area of tax protesters where only a few were standing. Then they would report in a way to imply that it was more or less even.

    http://www.papillonsartpalace.com/antitax.htm

The media also made out like the protesters were acting like terrorist. This was absolute BS. Like the anti-Obama hecklers in the McCain/Palin crowds who were found later to be pro-Obama people trying to make a story for propaganda reasons.

Here is the suspect image the media used to show a mass of pro-tax supporters. I never saw these pale pasty cold hearted assholes there myself.
