dude they can;t BE like the americans because they dont share the same history as america, countries liek america, britain, australia were fortunate enough to exist on their own seperate bodies of land, able to develop on their own and grow without external influence to set them back, i'm not familiar with pakistans history but i guarantee you it's filled with much more pollitical economic and military turmoil than americas... so your argument would make no sense from that perspective unless you were trying to imply that pakistanis, or whoever, are somehow inferior to americans in some way not related to socio economic standards

also america with its rediculously larger budget didnt secure new orleans levys against failing.... it's the same fucking thing... they'd rather risk an earthquake hitting and train more doctors then 1 for every thousand people, considering the last deadly quake hit 70 years ago..... just like states would rather buy two more b2 bombers.... priorities, alocation of limited resources, necessity
    From your article:

"There's a real dearth of trained engineers and scientists from Pakistan," he said. And a major source of that problem, Tucker said, has been his group's failure to bring Pakistani geologists and other earthquake hazard experts to America to study. Many have been offered scholarships for advanced training but have been denied visas to enter the United States because of their nationality, he said.

i SEEE so you WANT them to be MORE like Americans and take care of their OWN problems... but you DONT want them to recieve the TRAINING to do so.... because????

and for dwaine i respect your honesty and it really is a sound stance.... we dont help them... they dont help us... everyone does their own thing but then you have people like dan that's say things like

"How about building buildings that don't collapse like pancakes with a sizeable earthquake and then racking in up to allah's will instead of holding builders and the goverment accountable."

dude just say what you really want to say.... honestly dont try to desguise it as an actual argument or non biased point

Maybe if the freakin islamist from Pakistan, afghanistan, Saudi Arabia didn't want to kill as many americans as possible the pakis would be welcome to come here like they used to be before the islamist fucked it up for the rest of the pakis. SOmehow you and the pakis find a way to blame the US. Complete SHIT

dude who blaimed the US? i think only smurf would ever suggest they caused the earthquake.... i just didnt agree with some of your statements.

It's a little hard to get riled up about a bunch of people dying who would be dancing in the streets praising Allah if the US accidently blew itself up with a massive nuclear accident. At least we don't celebrate when they die. That's says something about us mericans.

i simply disagreed with your statement that because americans are somehow superior to anyone else simply because of their lifestyle, pakistnis, with most of the third world, look up to america due to its quality of life, americans down talk about such countries because there's nthing to be jelous of, I just dont see how this indifference is evidence of superior american moral fortitude "cuz we dontz wanna see them BLOWED they selvs up"

The American way of life has only been around for a couple generations, as far as fast food and pesticides and TV goes. All the brain-damaging life-sucking shit hasn't had time to really show us how adversely it affects us. I'm sure the effects would be more self-evident down the road if the apocalypse weren't coming first.

And who knows, maybe we did send it, as part of an agreement with India. We'll see them become closer friends with us as the day draws closer.

well since the earthquake happened i've seen a few people vocalising in bars and giggling amongst themselves that 'some dirty pakis' died in the earthquake... and i'm pretty sure there've been quite a few 'mericans who've been overly gleeful too...
but there are a fair number of assholes all over the world
