Our Lips Are Sealed by the Go-Gos (?). I think it was Alison Moyet's first band, before she got too fat and had to go solo.

And speaking of bands whose singers go solo, Annie Lennox's band covered "I Only Want to Be With You" ... were they called the Motels?

Oh, and the Mexican Radio song was by Wall of Voodoo. I saw them (with their new singer, alas ... what was the first guy's name? He had a brief solo career too!) in Canberra in the eighties and they WENT OFF. Mind you, the drugs helped that night.

And what about Echo Beach by Martha and the Muffins?

    Ah, I've rambled on enough.

(Note to self: Stop typing in a nostalgic haze and just hit 'Add Reply' you idiot.)

    (Note from self: Okay)

Shit yeah. I still have a soft spot for their very first single (in Oz at least): "Just Keep Walking", which would have been - say - 1982??

i went to see them in 1992 (i think.. maybe 93 or 4)...

i also remember being out clubbing in a boat on the thames with a bunch of australians and kiwis on the night michael hutchence died.. or when the news broke at least... it was weird.. all these pilled up antipodeans started crying and freaking out for no apparent reason...

I cried more when Bon Scott croaked. (Mind you, I was, like, ten.)

I hate Queer... I mean, Queen. I'd rather have a headfull of Rush than listen to one fucking Queer, I mean Queen song.
