As far as declawing kitties... If it comes between little fluffy and my Italian leather couch... I'm sorry, but the cat can live without his claws. It's a relatively painless procedure, and if you care about your cats enough to keep them indoors all the time and not out causing trouble in the neighborhoods and crapping on other people's lawns, they should have no real need for their claws.

As far as the name goes, "Ano" sounds androgynous. I'm sorry, it just does - no offense. When I hear that name, I don't know if it's a guy or a gal. I never said you were androgynous.

The teaching deal? "We teach everyone, regardless of background" - Exactly. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but would you honestly send your own child through each of your student's neighborhoods? That's just bad parenting.
