To you, yes. To me, no. Yankees are just those north of the Mason-Dixon line (or Interstate 10, in some opinions). I believe you refer to 'mericans collectively as Yankees (not to be confused with the New York baseball team of the same name who, by virtue of being northern, are anyway.)

I have noticed a trend with Joe; in that it seems there's always a point and a point we'll never get, probably because his godliness deems us unenlightened peons not worthy of beholding the knowledge of the point, but really is the point valid or just the ramblings of an escaped convict with delusions of self-importance?

That is my point, its pointier than a page of sharp points, rolled into a point and jabbed in someones eye.
