No, Head was still in. This was just before his exodus. Maybe his "head" wasn't in it and there were some ill feelings among the members. Years back I saw "DayOff Fest" w/ Mudvayne, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, and Slipknot. They all brought it but the 'Knot was the best show. One of my favorite shows (aside from KISS '79) was Limp Bizkit circa "Significant Other." Durst wasn't completely full of himself back then and they rocked. The pit was like a hurricane.
Slipknot is one of the better shows I've ever seen. Slayer is awesome live, as is Megadeth. Metallica at the Great Western forum was really good. James Brown is a nutty show to see if you ever get the chance as well, since you mentioned people who are full of themselves.

The receding hairline was looking a bit too 'Friar Tuck' there. I suppose it was either that, or get some wacky headgear like Dio's pointy witch's hat.
