There's an IMAX 1/2 mile from where I work. Never been. What's the deal on IMAX? Is it a bigger screen? Better sound? I may have to check it out.
It is worth the extra money. The film is some ridiculous size. I think 70mm is standard now, but the Imax is closer to 200mm, the one at the Smithsonian at Dulles was 6 stories tall, the screen that is, and the surround sound was something over 25k watts. It is really a spectacle to see. You feel like you are in the movie, even if its not 3d. We sat about 4 stories up, your feet are at about shoulder height to the chair in front of you, so no idiots blocking the view.
It's roughly 16 days away from the opening of this movie and I don't care if I see it projected on to the backs of a bunch of starving babies, or if I have to club a small baby seal..I don't know where the fuck I'm going with this but I can't wait to see this fücking movie!
This is a possible spoiler..... I've read that Peter Parker does not survive the third film..as far fetched as that seems the source I got it from has always been reliable, so I'm more than a bitworried.
