It is amazing to me that you Marines have as much spare time as you do, playing on the computer. Shouldn’t you be running laps or something?

The United States no longer has the highest standard of living. There are several countries that out rank us… look it up. In almost every way you gauge standard of living the US is near the bottom of the worlds richest nations.

Europeans pay about 45-55% of their earnings in taxes. This gives them the best public transportations systems, medicine, etc. etc. If you add up what we pay for private medical insurance the cost is about the same. Only for the very wealthy, and by the way stupid ass Marines are not in this number, is this not true. So you see Marine, you are arming up to fight so that rich people can enjoy free medical care while people like yourself go without… Common Sense indeed?

About the population of India thing… Sure and Mighty Mouse could kick Superman’s ass…. So what? As far as the technology thing…. I believe the Vietnamese kicked the US’s ass with less technology. The US also had a revolution against a superior technological power too. Your theory just doesn’t pan out. You need to stop believing the rhetoric you superior officers are feeding you and start to think. When push comes to shove your ass will be on the line. Every time you see a Vietnam Vet in a wheelchair ask him about the wonders of technology ok?

Also, on the whole, the US does have second-rate schools for poor people. Rich people get a wonderful education. Poor people have to do stupid shit like join the Marines to get ahead.

On one point we agree. The US currently is, and has for the last 50 years, doing a pretty fucked up job of leading the world, but it sure as hell is a lot better than the English did of it. Or any other country for that matter. If leadership has the potential to learn and change I would put my money on the US before any other nation.

Yes I live in the US.. IT is my country, and yes we a re fucked up shitbags. None the less we have the right to say, write, and think whatever the fuck we want. I want to go and experince other countries amd cultures, Unfortunatly, I have another year and four months of intinsive probation. So Iguess its not really fair to smear another country until I have had the oppertunity to see how fucked up it is personnally..
