There was a show on a while back with that bald democrat guy, thats on all the movies and stuff talking about how downloading was bad, and it was stealing and all that. They brought all these kids in that had been caught by RIAA, or whomever they used, and were asking them questions about stealing, and how they felt...yadda yadda yadda. What I never heard one person say was, "If I buy a CD, because the group has a song I like, and I dont listen to any of the other songs, should I get all but 1/16th the money back because the rest of their CD is crap?" Thats what I hate. I used to buy CDs and there would be like 2 songs on it that were worth a crap. Do I get some money back for their crappy songs? No. So do I feel bad that rappers riding around in Bentley's living in 4 million dollar homes? No. Do I think Metallica needs more of my money? No. If I sent my old worn out tapes to them will they send me the CDs in replacement?
True. A lot of my Zune stuff is like 1 song or so from one artist. Like Madonna. I have one song, "Live to Tell." I liked that song as a kid and still kinda like it, so that's it. I wouldn't want to buy the whole album for one song. I just wouldn't do it.
http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/12/24/enable-copy-and-transfer-of-data-with-zune-to-use-as-portable-hard-disk/ this should work but if it screws something up don't look at me.
I once wrote a letter to the powers that had been, at the time, with words to that effect. I think I even cited the "Chumbawamba" CD in it. No avail.
I wonder how current that article is? That would be something to consider if I were to cxl my service.
Open your registry [start] [run] {regedit} Click [file] then [export] Make note of the location for exporting a copy of your registry call it "joes big idea" Create a system restore point before you make any changed [start] [all programs] [ system tools] [system restore] In case all else fails print this before doing anything: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545 Then follow the instructions pay attention to the part where it tells you when to turn on the Zune etc. And let us know if it works. All your doing is going into the Local Machine key which holds the configuration information for all your computer's hardware and specifically for the Zune turning on legacy USB support so the system will recognize the drive like a flash drive. What format does Zune store the files in?
I found my cds. They were in the closet in the spare room. I am an idiot. I'm glad though because I made some cool mixes and couldn't remember all of the songs on them to download and put on my Zune. I really love my Zune.
