how about E.T. for the atari, that game drove me nuts , collecting reeses pieces and parts of the fucking phone home machine, stretching your neck to levitate out of pits...
That is the worst video game ever made. Honest. They were rushed on their deadline because the company wanted to have the game ready for the '82 Xmas season, so the programmers only had six weeks to work on it. It failed so horrendiously that 14 truckloads of the cartridges were steamroller-smashed and cemented in place in a landfill somewhere in New Mexico...right next to 5 million 2600 Pacman carts. Atari reported a $536 million dollar loss the next year, too - you'd think they'd have learned their lesson with the Pacman carts before this ET mess came out (they produced 12 million carts, and they'd only sold maybe 10 million systems).
