I'm a college sophomore majoring in philosophy. I'm currently reading up on John Locke and David Hume. I just happen to be at a prestigious Community College right now, since I'm broke, but I plan on transfering to UCLA. And then living in a giant beer keg in Venice Beach, possibly the Orange Circle.

Venice Beach wow last time I was there was in 87 I was 20. Coming from East Texas to there it was like a foreign land. Met some nice people but it seemed like half of them were tweaking on crystal-meth though. Nasty stuff I did enjoy the idea of taking 72 hours of libo. and turning it into a full 72 hours however.

Venice Beach is a different world to me. The only reason I go there is to remind myself of what strange is. One time when I was down there at about midnight I saw a naked woman thrown from a Mercedez, which came back and picked her up about 45 minutes later. California is great and all, but the people out here are nuts.

Man at 38 and my idea of getting away is shooting off to the desert in Vegas to hang out with my in-laws (my nephew is coming back from his second tour in Iraq) this year. It does not look like in my lifetime I'll ever get over to the other side of the world to visit Australia and really see the sights. But it seems like there are some really genuine good people down there.

Such a shame, I have never been much of a materialistic type. Passed up opportunities to make money because I did not like the type of work. For the most part no regrets except it would be nice to retire in 15 or 20 years from now and travel the world. Who knows what could happen between now and then? Of course according to Smurf maybe I should cash in all my retirement savings now and enjoy it now while I can
