The west would be much better off if it would just mind it's own business and stay out of that entire region. And by that I mean refusing to dump anymore money into the region by buying oil. Let them build there own economies. The way the middle east is currently, their value system would collapse under the weight of it's own dogma, at least theoretically. And if I remember correctly the Muslim world was just as imperialistic as the west was. The only reason they are so mad now is because the shoe is on the other foot.

I feel like I'm giving them the ammo here :? but the one fact, the one point that could be made against the war that would be the hardest to argue against. Would quite simply be.... I'm probably going to regret this. The money we spent on the war could have likely been used in research and effectively come up with the right formula for an alternative fuel source. This would have eliminated the need for Middle Eastern and South American oil. Long term a much better investment for the money.
