My first rock concert was Sonic Youth at the Newport in Columbus, Ohio. I loved Sonic Youth and they sucked hardcore live. They had just released a new album and I hadn't bought it yet. They played nothing but songs from that new album. I was so pissed. They did throw me a bone and played Death Valley '69. I couldn't go to a show now. I have a hard enough time going to the fucking grocery store.
