Do you think we could find something that we don't disagree on so that I can like you again? You are interesting and fun to talk to, but here recently I find myself wanting to mail you a turd bomb. For the record, I don't dislike people who use drugs. I understand perfectly why people use. I drank a lot when I was younger, and I use (legally) drugs every day. (Ritalin) You may be surprised that I do not see the use of alcohol/drugs as a primary problem. I see them (abuse) as a secondary problem. Let me explain - Primary Problems - Poverty, Hopelessness, Boredom, Depression, Loneliness, Anxiety, Insomnia, Social Issues, Mental Illnesses, Physical Pain, etc. People use alcolhol/drugs for relief from these primary symptoms. No problem with that, except that the primary symptoms are not "cured" by drugs. The person gets a temporary break from the symptoms, but the problem remains. Sometimes chronic drug use (symptom control) is the only way to deal with primary problems. (for example, pain) The abused substance may eventually become a primary problem, but it is still not the drug. The problem then is addiction. I just hate to see the devastation that drugs and alcohol inflict on people who are really good at heart. I have never met a "bad" person that was "bad" because they used drugs. Even the 100's of murderers and thugs that I met in prison - they were "bad" before they ever found drugs. (The problem with their personality was there before they started using drugs). Drugs and Alcohol were simply as disinhibitor Let me say it this way - DRUGS LIE. They make you feel like everything is OK, when it is not. They make you content with your problems, instead of motivated to change your circumstances. Drug/Alcohol/tobacco use is really just death on an installment plan. Barry
it may surprise you that i agree with a lot of what you said just then... unfortunately you aren't going to stop them getting hold of these drugs.. no matter how hard you try or how many hundreds of billions of dollars you spend trying.. so why not let them get the drugs from the chemist?.. that way at least you can be sure it won't be laced with nasty shit.. speaking of pain.. have you looked into therapy aided by mdma?.. done correctly with a trained therapist it can do wonders at overcoming deep seated anguish as it breaks down internal barriers and allows people to see the source of their pain and come to terms with what is causing it
pimp the only problem which society has then to confront with is the social integration of drugs as a norm, i realize that in a lot of places drugs already are the social norm but imagine the impact they would have on society in general if they were ever to go mainstream, you go to McDonalds order a happy meal for your kid and an 8ball for you and the wife..... wouldn't people be much more tempted to experiment if they had such easy access to even the hardest of drugs, menthol crack, low fat shroomes, three story crack houses where you can finance your mortgage AND get your nails done, i say we just leave it in the hands of the socially inept.... drugs are a problem which we should overcome not succumb to because it's too costly to fight
No, this was back when I was a kid, I havent been around that dumb bitch for more than an hour in like 8 years.
