That is good advice. It is useless to lecture them. Didn't work when I was a kid, won't work now.

Tommy boy - surely you know that mailing drugs is a federal offense. Don't even joke about things like that. (The fed net monitors lick their lips.)

Barely, you have got to be kidding me. The consequences of drug use can be overwhelming. You've got legal issues, DUI's, permanent records being tarnished, risk of death and injury, problems with parents, etc... I can't believe you cannot come up with something.
Look it up on the net for godssakes. I heard that if one doesnt drink enough water when taking Ecstasy they can get dedydrated and go into hyperthermic shock. I guess people who take it dont drink alcohol with it. Also, I have heard a couple stories locally about a teenager who chewed up some oxycontin's and died. Evidentally he was a novice drug user without any tolerance and since the oxy is time released he got a whopping dose all at once and it killed him. Then there's always the warning that you never know what's in street drugs. I smoked a joint once and had a very bad trip. I think it was laced with PCP or some shit.
Oooh, and heroin. People cannnot understand how people get hooked on that shit. If you have ever had IV Dilaudid, you'd understand. It feels fucking fabulous. Then you have the HIV risk if you are shooting shit in your veins. Perhaps you'd be better off lecturing them about cigarettes. I agree with Pimp on that one. I can say no to anything but them. I used to be able to swim 2 lengths of a regulation size swimming pool underwater, and now I am breathless after 1/2 length ABOVE water, and I cannot run. Heaven forbid if the cops were chasing me, I'd never get away. Why are you lecturing on a Sunday anyway?

It is a Saturday lecture. The topic of the lecture was really about Designer Drugs. I can talk all day about the other stuff. It went OK. I used a lot of info from professional sites, and also did some interactive stuff with them. At least they stayed awake the whole time and didn't start booing.

I was shocked that out of sixty high IQ kids, only three knew who Timothy Leary was. They were shocked to find out that I liked Ozzy Osbourne back in the day.

    Funny!
No, I am going to pour it all into a big bowl, stir it up, and spoonfeed myself for the rest of the night.....while staring at my disco ball.

America changed it's drug laws in 1996. Before that, we listed what was illegal, and everything not listed was OK. After 1996, the list changed to what is legal. Everything not specifically listed as legal is illegal.

After reading Rat's recent post on the consequences of interfering with the process of natural selection, maybe legalizing drugs is the best thing to do.

Darwin and Drugs both start with D.
    Coincidence? I think not..........
