What is with all the Halliburton conspiracy theories? Its like any other major project undertaking you have to give the contract to someone that can handle the job. You want government job bid conspiracy theories. You only have to look at New Orleans. That levy was a money pit used by the state to embezzle money from the government for years. All money that would indirectly be funneled into some dem politician campaign fund.

You have to give your contract to someone that you know you can trust and actually wants the project to be successfull and ontime. If Haliburton has the best record for this then piss on the other bidders.

There are very few large companies that are able to handle big contracts. Halliburton is one of them and Dick Cheney worked for the company. Try looking into how in the 90’s a company called Tyson was able to avoid government inspections while competing companies were inspected, fined and eventually run out of business allowing Tyson to purchase them on the cheep. There is an example of government corruption. Look into why millions of high quality diamonds were dumped into the American market during the 90’s where did they come from and who profited.
