At the start of 2006, more than half the people of our world live in democratic nations.

And we do not forget the other half -- in places like Syria, Burma, Zimbabwe, North Korea, and Iran -- because the demands of justice, and the peace of this world, require their freedom as well.

    Hmm. Define "freedom".

I can't even burn my country's flag in protest without risking arrest.

I have a problem with any government that thinks it has the right to tell a man what he can do with the contents of his own pants. Our govenment tries to dictate morality, and that infuriates me. The governments job is to protect persons and property, not the Ten Commandments. Democracy is nice, and the United States is a great place to live, but who nominates these nosy fucks that want to prosecute consenting adults for "sex crimes"?
