Most of my New Years Started out rocking then some how I end up in a car at midnight driving around pissed off drunks.
I rather enjoyed bringing in the New Years sleeping. Much more enjoyable than binge drinking and waking up next to someone wearing my panties on their head. That wasn't a good way to start last year...
Alrigth so I was debating whether or not to go out because I didn't have a date and going out to the place my brother were going to meant putting on a penguin suit. Anyway, a pretty hot girl who was a bartender at the local watering hole said she was having a party the day before so I figure what the hell I may as well go and try to have some fun. So I am driving to the party and I immediately get pulled over the cop is getting all up in my face trying to see if he can smell any alcohol. I was thinking the whole time man I thought the cops were looking for someone weaving but I guess there strategy is just to pull over as many people as possible as I had driven that road tons of times at that speed before without getting pulled over. ALright so I figure oh well I guess that are alot of people wishing they just got a speeding ticket right now and I go and pick up a 12 pack of beck's dark and go to the party. When I get to the party the doors are all locked but some people come up and two of them are chicks with no boyfriends so I figure well at least I am at the right type of party not some couples crap like my brother's were going to. So they spend 5 minutes knockin on the doors and nobody opens up. Finally, another girl shows up and calls up the people inside and they open up the door about 10 minutes later. Well as I go in I notice the girls father is there. I am thinking okay this isn't going to be the knock down drag out party I was thinking about. Well I sit around watching highlights of the giants/raiders game on a really cool wide screen HDTV and a really nice surround sound and I start talking to a girl who is by herself who looks okay who lets me kiss her at midnight but she wasn't all that hot. So I go upstairs to the second apartment (It's a duplex house) where another bartender from the same place lives and there is a bunch of people "smoking it up" so I joined them for a bit and then go back downstairs. I had brought a MP3 mix cd and I start playing it and it is sounding real good on the stereo system. Finally, I decide at about 2 that I had had enough of the party and so I start walking toward the main strip of bars which is right next to her house. I figure what the hell I am going to play some pool as I am walking by a pretty good grunge bar with alot of tables. So I can't remember what happened with the pool but there were some really good chicken strips with hot sauce mixed in there somewhere and it was pretty crowded saw some people I knew. So after that I am trying to flag down a cab and I finally get one and it's this real sketchy black guy with all the ghetto hustler talk in a wide brim hat and he is telling me has to pick some people up first and then take them way across the river but that I can sit in the front seat and ride along. So I'm thinking it's going to be pretty hard to catch a cab even though there are tons of them out so I say okay. Well he starts talking this bull about a 40 or 50 $ cab ride so I am thinking man this guy is full of shit and I don't exactly like the fact we are cruising around in the ghetto. So it turns out that the guys he is picking up are at one of the largest and best strip clubs in the city. I am thinking man I am getting out of this cab and try to catch another one but when I get out I start thinking what the hell man I want to check out the chicks. So I go in and pay my seven dollars and get a bunch of ones and start sitting down at the various stages. There are about 7 or 8 stages with different girls and surprisingly only about 3 or 4 guys sitting at each stage. So that means a chick usually gets to you two times before she rotates with another girl after about a song or two. So I go out at 4 in the morning and try to get one. Well finally they just tell every body they have to leave. So I am sitting outside with about 6 people who need a cab. Finally after about 5 minutes some of them leave somehow. There are 2 guys left and I ask them which direction they are going and they say about where I am going (the nicer side of town). So they are agreable to share the cab. One dude is from new orleans so we start talking about mardi gras. This cab guy is on the up and up and his meter is running at regular price. SO I only spend like 10 bucks on the ride home. Not too bad considering but not good either.
