Besides violate dozens of campaign finance and congressional lobbying laws nothing. Of course, you think this is a left wing liberal media conspiracy, but you think everything involving Republicans is a left wing liberal media conspiracy.

Why don't you try paying attention to the trials. It's all spelled out very clearly. He used money and bribery to get his clients face time with politicians in Washington. He swindled an Indian tribe out of millions while he was working for another tribe to have them shut out of Indian gaming. That's just the tip of the iceberg I'm sure, but that's how the game goes.

Is there a law against gifts for helping connect people? Or is there a law that says, 'thou shalt not help the red man take advantage of the other red man'?

You see one needs simply to understand what lobbying is. To put it quite simply it’s paying someone for influence with persons in political office. There have been various attempts at reforming it thing is in the two party system greed takes over and the idea that if a lot of rules are created then they can selectively decide to enforce the rules it will give one side an edge over the other.

The reason nobody can tell me what specifically he did is they do not know. The Media are quick to throw out the charges and a vague list of the most compelling offences. However if laws were enforced for those offences; be it taking "Buddies" on a golfing trip to enjoy the presence of their company. Or whatever else then we would have to build a new penitentiary the size of Road Island and put half the population of Washington DC in it.

Think of how much lower taxes could be...without having to pay politicians salaries...

He's selective about what he chooses to see.

Well if you would like to simply switch the words illegal and wrong then be my guest.

Wrong......hmm...let's see would it be wrong to sell influence to the highest foreign bidder with interest in mind that would be counter to the best interest of the citizens of this country?

No one yet has told me what he did that was illegal. Personally I'm all for lobby reform. Basically the way we have it today the fourth branch will levy charges against one side of a two party system while leaving the rest free to do as they will with immunity to any charge.

In my perspective Jack did much less to be frowned upon that the many other lobbies out there peddling foreign interest. Also Jack was paid by one Indian group to purchase influence as well as another both of which services were rendered. That is not illegal Dio. You send me links about what he did because you have not the slightest idea what he did that was illegal.

Oh and Smiles I can tell you this for sure it is wrong to misuse the legal system to file criminal charges for something you may feel is wrong and know you cannot prove is illegal. That is simply grand standing and abusing tax payer dollars in order to exploit a headline in more then willing news paper.

If you simply do not like something someone is doing then try using the legal system to file a suite against them. False criminal charges are a different thing all together.

Also an indictment is not a conviction you can indict anyone for anything that’s just convincing a jury that there is an appearance of impropriety. The whole stinking nature of lobbying has the appearance of impropriety so take your pick there are thousands out there.

I’m still waiting for someone to show me what he did that can be proven as illegal.

I'm done. He'll go on trial, they'll find him guilty, and you'll still sit here and sing of his virtue because he's a Republican.
