What do you guys think of John Roberts? All the research I'm trying to do gets me nowhere, since most of his memos and opinions were on behalf of either the administration he was working for, or a private client. Any political ties I should know about besides the "Federalist Society."

What about Roberts? He was a figurehead who did his job perfectly, since that job is over, he's been sent back home. The end.

What job, what is he a figurehead for? He hasn't been sent home yet. He's still being confirmed. He seem's like a reasonable fellow, not that I can do anything about it if he's not, just looking for a little background on the guy that's not there in Wickipedia.

    He's the Antichrist.

    Wait. The pope is. Nevermind.

nah, the Pope is Emperor Palpatine, maybe John Roberts is a cross between Luke Skywalker and Blair from the facts of life. So apparently no one really has anything on the guy other than he's a member of the Federalist Society. I can deal with that if that's all he has going, unless someone knows something I don't?

Whoever he is, and whatever he does, this big power struggle to get him put in isn't about stem cells or abortion. It's about getting corporate guys off the hook, making it legal to steal pensions, and putting into effect new awesome laws to steal our freedoms.

That's the problem with judges. Up until Sandra O'connor retired and William Rehnquist died the Supreme Court was staffed by 8 republican nominees, and one democratic nominee. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the guy other than the stuff the have posted on Wikipedia, I already read all of that stuff, I know his trial history, and I've read all of his opinions that I could find. By the way, I'm looking for hard facts, if you can post any Roberts links or new information that would rock. You to Smurf, I'm sure you can find some really interesting stuff.

thanks smurf. That at least gives me something that isn't exactly what the Bushies want me to hear. Let me know if you find anything that about the info the Bush Administration is allegedly with-holding from the senate nomination committee. That's the stuff that seems really good. I'll keep updating if I manage to find anything.
