Israeli commando raid against Hezbollah strains cease-fire So here is how the spin works. There is a cease fire agreement the agreement that Israel signs onto which involves a Hezbollah disarmament. Hezbollah signs on and then their leader says they will never disarm. (Is not that part of the initial negotiation process?) Now officially Lebanon and U.N. enforcers of the resolution are back peddling on the disarmament. The spin is that Israel is straining the cease-fire What a crock of shit if I was Israel I'd say deals off you already broke your side of the bargain. It is obvious to me that Hezbollah who ironically claimed victory here was up against the ropes and in serious trouble when the cease fire was brokered and far from disarming they are re-supplying and rearming right now at this time. The UN could care less about this and the one sided agreement was simply for the survival of Hezbollah.
Israel`s victory was to get the libanese army back at the border. They wont risk that easily. That makes for a clear partner with a responsible approach.
