The Nature of Editorial Opinion

    Whenever I see articles posted in cold sober, quite frequently they are editorials. Rather than presenting facts, they present facts and opinions, often blending the two as if the opinion were fact. I just read this article, clearly an opinion, regardless of it's validity. What I don't understand is why people take editorials as fact? They are not, they are the opinion of one individual, perhaps a small group. I do not have the passion for subjects that Nursey does, yet I feel it necessary to point out that much of the "evidence" presented in these forums is in fact the opinion of one individual. Treat it as such.
