According to several news reports I'm reading, Zarqawi is dead. I'm wondering what effect this will have on terrorist and insurgent operations in Iraq, possibly the middle east as a whole.

I imagine his new change of address is a little hotter than the deserts of Iraq.

I imagine that Ferine will be right in the near future. However, anyone that replaces Zarqawi will not have the same level of control over the organisation that Zarqawi did. I'm assuming that for the time being they will have a significantly diminished capacity, but that will return.

I believe it is likely he died about 3 years ago, and it means nothing to me. I don't subscribe to Neocon propaganda.

    Nursey is in mourning.

Joe'sLogic, how long have you been around here? You're a breath of non-fetid air in this cesspool. The redesign is an improvement.

BTW Nursey, victims of yer pal Al-Zarqawi's bestial killing sprees are happy the cockroach is dead. Sorry you'll miss him. He was getting too fat for you anyhow.

    Fugly still sux.

WTF is the point of having a forum with no *identified* mod or admin and not being able to edit one's own posts? Like DUH.

Not that the forum where I post wants any clowns from here posting where we are, but members there can self edit. Fuck, I can even add a bracket here. Where ya can't edit there is no real freedom.

    Good old Zarquie !

He was a true hero, and he went down fighting. For the noble cause of the rearangement from greenwich meantime, to makka mean and a few other peculiarities.

The way he split Sunnis and Shias and bombed bombs all over the muslim world. Sounds like he worked for the yankies, untill one remembers that he was a religious crackhead as well. Then it makes more sense. When they go they go.

    ( 7 minutes ! He was`nt the best executioner though ).

I'll give him credit for believing what he believed. Although I bet there were doubts everyonce in a while whilst sawing on a head or two. I bet he is suprised now while he squirms in eternal torment.

The scumbag was used for everyounce of Anti-American sentiment he was worth then when he was all spent betrayed in the end.

The media could not cover the fact that he was simply working to pit the Sunni's and Sheites against themselves forever anyways.

Actually, the media did portray that. I've read several articles that explicitly stated that was his purpose. Including the International Herald Tribune.

It’s a big media I'm talking about overall perception. Then again maybe it’s a telling thing you start to indicate to the Iraqi's the truth about how there being played and Al Qaeda start getting pointed out by the locals. In the context of what I'm saying you have to look at what the World media and especially the Arab networks are saying as well as the general media in U.S. cause the general public are led to the opinion that Americans are across the board unpopular with the Iraqi's not aware of the truth that some Iraqi's are enthusiastically supportive wile other groups are not and it boils down to different secular groups and a difficult history.
