Well this is only the 2nd movie to be offered in Imax in our area so the wife and I went and saw it. Well first off, I would like to say, save your money. Its not that there wasnt some cool stuff in it, or that it was so terribly unbelievable, just not really good. Some of the CGI was outstanding, some not so impressive. ****Spoilers**** Its not that I didnt like the story, it was okay, and had potential, but he spared the earth simply because he felt sorry for a little boy and his step mom? I mean really? I understand that he saw the emotion and felt all that crap, but to think that people are going to stop and change the way they treat the Earth because he stopped by is ridiculous. All of this is in motion and he just steps out into the swarm and it all stops. uh yea. This film needed about 45 more minutes of actual plot to make it worth the money.
This movie is easily the worst movie of the year, easily. Just fucking awful, the whole second act made no sense, it was just an excuse for Reeve's character to be chased, it meant nothing to the movie at all. Man I really hate this movie.
