Would anyone buy one? I was looking at an '07 Forenza and it was pretty nice, but I am wondering if they are junk cars. I can't spend a shitload of money on a car and am in the dilemma of buying a used car with high miles or a brand new econobox. I have a car that is paid for and runs and has less mileage than some of the used cars that I was looking at, but I refuse to trade it in (I would rather wreck it than have someone else drive my car) but I want something else too.

I rented a Forenza ('06) last year on my road trip to the Keys... I was actually very impressed. Tight control, more power than I expected, a smooth transmission, and it just seemed like a very well-made vehicle.

Plus, it was roomy enough to bring back 12 poorly-nourished Cuban immigrants in the trunk, while still holding our luggage in the back seat.

Thanks, Lomo. I thought that is what you rented because I asked you if it was a Grand Vitara a while back.

The car road smooth, the stereo was awesome and it had 22 miles on it... BUT I read some bad reviews on Edmunds on the '07 (a new car should not be in the shop 20 days in a month) and Suzuki just kinda scares me. I think I am going to stick with my Pontiac roots. I have owned nothing but Pontiacs and since the G5 is close in price, I am going to take one out tonight and see what I think. A G5 would be the ONLY car that I would trade my current car in for because it's the only car I have really thought looked nice in the last few years and I will demand a black one because I don't like any other color.

I am not a big pontiac fan. Mainly since the 80s when they went uber plastic on the interior. Even more so than their chevrolet counterparts.

We picked this up last monday to replace the Infiniti - which I have been driving the hell out of since we got the Accord. This was after I tinted the windows, yea, it gets hot down here.

    07 Accord
    Leather, Pwr wndow/lock/seats/sunroof
    Navigation

    Out the door for 27,500.
3 miles on vehicle when purchased.

Yeah, Pontiac goes cheap on their plastic inside. I know this first hand. My dash rattles like a bitch which is why I want a new car. BUT my car has never been in the shop other than oil changes and regular maintenance. The check engine light has never been on and it has never stalled or left me stranded. I have owned it over 8 years and it has been the best car ever.

My boyfriend has a Honda SUV and I like it, but I don't care for the looks of their cars much. I don't like the grill and headlights and overall shape of their cars. The "Fit" is ridiculous and the "Element" is terrible. Even the interior of that thing looked like shit. The dash was cool, but the seats looked really thin, cheap and uncomfortable.

I'm super picky about the interior of vehicles and the G5 fits my criteria, but we'll see after I take it out.

I have always liked the looks of Pontiacs.. the GTO, the Firebird, the Phoenix (JOKE) and once I like something, I am a loyal customer. I don't feel right with anything else.

This may sound strange, but according to Edmunds, and another auto-rating company, the South Korean companies Hyundai and Kia have done incredibly well on the '07 quality ratings. Hyundai (a HUGE company, they not only manufacture the cars, but also the computers in their operation, the machines that build their cars, and even the ocean-lining vessels that transport them.)

They have the best warranty you'll ever find right now, and ever since Kia was bought by Hyundai, the quality standards for the Kia's has gone up considerably.

Seriously consider an Elantra, or something else they produce, before arriving at a decision.

Well, the good thing is that hell will be a relief for you.

What do youi mean you aren't going to Hell? "All Bulldog fans go to Hell."
I heard Bear say that himself.

I should have got a pic of it when it said 110 on thursday. It is freaking ridiculous. 108 with 100% humidity. Sweet.

Thats not ridiculous, it's life threatening. I wonder how all the freakin' pigs and pitbulls survive?

Aren't you close to Athens, Ga?
There is just something about the latitude you are in that is unbearably hot. Montgomery is the same way. It's only 200 miles North of here, but it is the hottest place I have ever been. I wonder if all the asphalt and concrete don't have something to do with it.

It's gets hot here, and humid, but the southwest breeze is almost always blowing in off the Gulf. The wind never moves in August in Georgia. Unless it's a Tornado.

Im not sure about the Pigs, that's more of a NC thing. The pits usually stay inside.

We are in a low spot for sure. Athens is in the foothills of the blue ridge mountains, so it gets hot, but they usually dont have the issues with the humidity.

I guess I am about an hour and a half from Athens.

Here is what I gots to do on my saturday. 105.

Go to Lowes, get insulation and 'blown insulation' machine. Get 2 storm windows and roll of 'light' reflective tint. Get called in to work, network issue, HP PRocurve switch faulted out, repair go home. tint existing storm glass windows, tint 2 new storm glass windows. Install 2 new storm glass windows. Eat pizza. Spray insulation in attic for 3 hours in 125+ attic. Take shower go to bed.

    I think I lost 14lbs in the attic. :)

I have been a car lot whore and have been to all the big dealships around. I don't think I am going to buy anything. I have driven all kinds of shit and am not crazy about anything. I also decided that the smell of new cars is gross.

The new G35 is sweet, the G37 is sweeter. I have a low mileage 04 G35 if you are interested..... It doesnt get real good mileage, about 15, but it is a very quick 15mpg......
