i know this one, but with pounds.. 3 bucks - .50 = 2.50 we already know that, he gave them 10 cents each thats .10 x 3 = .30 add the .20 he kept = .50 which is all of it!! your answer: the 10 cents didnt go anywhere except get lost in your math, ie , it was there all along, you forgot to equate it, and looking at the sum most people wouldnt...
