SPECIAL ALERT! NBC to mock the Crucifixion of Christ
NBC, fresh from giving us the anti-Christian The Book of Daniel , has decided to hit back at the Christian community by presenting an episode of Will and Grace which mocks the crucifixion of Christ.

On the April 13 edition of NBC's Will and Grace , Britney Spears will appear as a Christian conservative sidekick to Sean Hayes' homosexual character, Jack, who hosts his own talk show.

Jack's fictional network, Out TV, is bought by a Christian TV network, leading to Spears contributing a cooking segment called "Cruci-fixin's." To further denigrate Christianity, NBC chose to air it the night before Good Friday.

Click Here to read the Associated Press article.

NBC does not treat Jews, Muslims or other religions with such disrespect. Yet the network demonstrates a deep of hostility toward followers of Christ.

    TAKE ACTION

Call your local NBC affiliate and ask them not to air the April 13 episode of Will and Grace . Ask others to call. Click here to find your local NBC station.

Click here to send a letter to NBC Chairman Bob Wright. Ask your pastor to run a notice in your church bulletins and newsletters and request members to go to www.afa.net and send the email to NBC Chairman Wright.

Click here to print out a petition (pdf) asking your local NBC affiliate not to air the April 13 episode and distribute it to your Sunday School class and fellow church members.
Next, and this is very important, please forward this to your friends and family today!

If you feel our efforts are worthy, would you consider making a small donation to help us in this effort. Click here to make your donation.

Thanks for caring enough to get involved.
    Sincerely,

Yeah NBC does tend to be hostile to Christian groups when you look at it from the perspective that they are not nearly as hard on other religions. I mean all other groups fit into the PC category of anything perceived to possibly offend is absolutely off limits. Surprising point though Grim I figured you for being hostile the same way so I'm trying to figure out weather your being facetious or not.

I apologize if I'm wrong it’s pretty discussing that they would make fun of the crucifix.

Well I'm against censorship in any way shape or form. I can care less if they marched a guy out that looked like Jesus and reamed him out with a Toilet snake.

That is the persons right to do that if they want, Its also my right to watch it if I want. Since 2001 we have been letting the religious right and the Government slowly gain control of what we say think and do.

I'm about freaking tired of it. I'm not a fan of Will and Grace but be damned if I allow censorship too win.

Thats pretty funny, I think the greatest thing that can be done is someone like Hitler would come along and do away with all religon.

Til religon dies there will be no peace in the world.

Religion will always be around, as there will always be those who rule over the masses and send great deluges just in the nick of time to wash away any progress. The last time someone taught civilization to the world, their island was sank and they got destroyed. Civilization persisted, however, and so this apocalypse will clean away any knowledge we've accumulated.

You know Grim there are a lot of hypocrite so called Christians that do a disservice to the whole group. I myself believe in a higher being if only because there has to be someone that created either the chicken or the egg. And I'm not so stupid to believe that it evolved from bacteria. Take bacteria down to its level and where the hell did it come from.

So I have my own belief system that follows along the lines of the Christian bible. That being said I find it very difficult to even go to a church due to my own hang-ups.

But if I may be objective and illustrate it this way. For all your valid complaints regarding Christianity and freedom of speech. The situation is much worse with regards to Muslims in the Arab world as well as Hindu's in the regions of India. Something tells me if you lived under Taliban rule you would convert by use of force to Islam. Of course this would be only in actions not a change of the heart.

I think you are being sucked in to all the hype. NBC knows there is a market share to be had. Howard Stern for instance left a void of alternative types. NBC by creating all the publicity is gaining that market share. It’s the same South Park crowd. A cartoon that for what its worth is really not all that funny. But people get a thrill out of the "I can't believe he said that" shock type entertainment. They will be switching over to NBC and becoming loyal NBC fans.

What you should be pissed about is the double standard. Those squeamish little piss-ants at NBC would not dare air something to piss off the extremist Islam followers. They picked a safe group to screw with.

I don't care who screws with who. There is no hype for me to buy into either. As I will not watch the show either way. My gripe is with the censorship portion of the whole thing.

Hopefully it will give the fudimental Christians a poke in the eye. Their views on Brokeback Mountain is rediculous. I think Heath Ledger is a very very brave actor for taking on this role and is taking all the critisism so well. So fuck the Christians, they are the biggest bunch of hypocrite losers around.

It's wonderful. I almost cried my eyes out. Probably not one for "the men", though.

When, on the other hand, the gods purge the earth with a deluge of water, the survivors in your country are herdsmen and shepherds who dwell on the mountains, but those who, like you, live in cities are carried by the rivers into the sea. Whereas in this land, neither then nor at any other time, does the water come down from above on the fields, having always a tendency to come up from below; for which reason the traditions preserved here are the most ancient. The fact is, that wherever the extremity of winter frost or of summer does not prevent, mankind exist, sometimes in greater, sometimes in lesser numbers. And whatever happened either in your country or in ours, or in any other region of which we are informed-if there were any actions noble or great or in any other way remarkable, they have all been written down by us of old, and are preserved in our temples.

Interestingly enough Grim, that is a fundamental belief of Christianity.

yeah, because we all know that there aren't any crazy christian fundamentalists out there. Hell, they'd never do anything crazy, like call for the assasination of a head of state, or pray for the death of a supreme court justice so they could push there religion further down everyone's throat.

Hitler was quite religious. Just not a four by four wooden type, like the biblethumpers. He wanted a mythic contollmechanism for the Germans and their wankbuddies.

    Joe: You said:
I myself believe in a higher being if only because there has to be someone that created either the chicken or the egg. And I'm not so stupid to believe that it evolved from bacteria. Take bacteria down to its level and where the hell did it come from.

That is a really, really stupid statement. Please criticize it yourself. Think it through and find the obvious flaws.

I'm not so stupid to believe that it evolved from bacteria. ???

What kind of friends do you hang with ? Intellectual amoebaes ?

The serious creationists still believe in evolution you know. Figure it out !

yeah, but he has a point that there has to be an unmoved mover somewhere. We'll never be able to completely rule out religion. If you have some time research something called Godel's Theorom. It states that any equation which refers to itself will have at least one unprovable premise. Therefore there can never be a complete Unified Field Theory, and we can never truly understand everything about the universe. Take that.
