I've been seeing them around. Anyone else? I hope they don't catch on. It's bad enough when you think you found a parking spot and you find a Yaris coupe in it. I'll be ass up into the thing before I realize it's there.

Is that the Indian one for like 2.5k?

For that price I can see people buying a few modifying them to make sweet golf carts.

Hackaday.com will have a section dedicated to hacking the Yaris.

No, the Indian one is the Tata Nano. Probably won't see them over here... not for some time anyway.

This car is the Smart Fortwo and I think they start around 12-13k. I'd rather buy a Nissan Versa or Sentra for about the same price.

With these gas prices, Im surprised we dont see more of them. I myself will probably buy some type of hatchback like a Fit or versa in a year or two, something that can get me 30-40mpg, since Ill just be out of college , I think Ill wait for something better a few years after that.

I'm sorry. I know it allegedly has a 4 star crash rating, but I'm not trying to drive that thing when you have the Ford F-Series Super Duty type trucks out there. Shit, a runaway shopping cart would scare me if I were driving that thing.

You could do a whole 30 min standup routing on that car.... literally on the car while on the stage.

I read something about them being really safe. Despite how small they are, getting into a crash in one is safer than many mid-sized cars.

I've only seen one so far on the road. Next time I'll crash into it and see what happens.

I thought it had a ski rack, but it's actually back pack straps, so if you run out of gas you can just throw it over your shoulder and keep on keepin on.

It don need no stinking tow strap. If it gets stuck there is a ring on the front for a leash. Just pick up a nice sturdy one at your local pet supply.

Pick it up and throw it in the bed of someone's pickup truck. Kinda like a warbler riding on a crane on it's way south.

Brings to mind those car carriers. Picture one driving down the road with about 50 loaded in the trailer.

If the truck had a wreck it would look like someone spilled a bag of marbles.....

I think it is safe because they are made out of that same rubber material that kickballs are made out of. So if the F250 hits you, it may put you in a different county, but youd still be 'safe'.
