I don't like to give a lot away. But from what I read and from the trailer they kept true to the game. So check it out.
I beat the first one and always wanted to play the others, but its one of my least favorite genre's. I doubt I'll see the movie.
Silent Hill official synopsis... "The eerie and deserted town of SILENT HILL draws a young mother desperate to find a cure for her only child's illness. Unable to accept the doctor's diagnosis that her daughter should be permanently institutionalized for psychiatric care, Rose (Radha Mitchell) flees with her child, heading for the abandoned town in search of answers – and ignoring the protests of her husband (Sean Bean). After a car accident on the outskirts of Silent Hill, Rose wakes up to find that her daughter has mysteriously disappeared. It soon becomes clear that this place is unlike anywhere she's ever been: it's smothered by fog, inhabited by a variety of strange beings and periodically overcome by a living Darkness that literally transforms everything it touches. As Rose searches for her little girl, she begins to learn the history of the strange town and realizes that her daughter is just a pawn in a larger game."
I just got around to seeing this movie today. Not so hot begining, really cool middle and horrid ending. The special effects and general feeling of the movie are really cool. Sort of the hopeless what the fuck is going on feeling you got with the game. (you will get the same feeling at the end of this movie...No hope of getting a refund and wondering what the fuck is going on in the movie.) So if you want to go watch a really cool hour of movie, go see Silent Hill. Just keep in mind that it is 2 hours long.
