...and all I can say is: How fucking lame can one director get?!? I swear, it was the same fucking script, for the most part - the same fucking dialogue - but couple it with not only the worst casting in the universe, but the worst fucking (for lack of a better term) acting ever. This movie sucks balls, and you should do yourself a favor by not wasting your time seeing it. Go and rent/buy the original, and I promise you, you'll get the same fucking movie, but with a twist - ACTORS that FUCKING ACT! Horrid. Pitiful. Unworthy. All of these words come to mind... We came home right after watching it (advance preview, for the one person that wants to cry out "but it's not out until next week...") - and watched the original. I fucking swear, it's like they handed out copies of the original movie to the (horribly cast) actors/actresses, said "figure out which person you're playing, remember the lines, and we'll meet back here in a week." It's that fucking bad. Sorry - just had to vent. Not that I lost any money or anything in this 'free preview' - but I do wish I could have those two hours of my life back...
I was a teenager (I think) when the original came out. It scared the bejubus out of me. I swear I had nightmares for a year. My kids saw it not long ago, and they laughed it off as stupid. I guess times have changed. As far as a remake, why? The original was awesome. How can you compete with that?
I'm telling you, it's the dark ages of cinema. There is no more originality, and all these directors think they can make up for it by refilming the same fucking movies over. With movies like this, I fear for Schmed's job here at Fugly.
Well, I think his job is secure. Jefe gives him all kinds of preferential treatment. I mean, just last week I walked into Jefe's office and Schmed was all curled up asleep under his desk. When I complained about Schmed gettting to sleep on the job, Jefe pretended like he didn't even notice he was there. He didn't make him leave either. Barry
I really can't agree with you more on the orignality bit. Hollywood is all sequels and remakes latley with very few good original ideas anymore. Nothing wrong with making a book into a movie, but once again, it isn't an original idea.
I thought the Lord of the Rings series was phenomenal. Their is some good stuff coming out lately. Think about how many movies come out a year for the last 55 years. Now think about how many of those movies were actually good. Has that ratio really dropped all that much? I've seen some good stuff lately, it's just their is plenty of garbage to filter through as well. Kind of like when Dan eats corn out of the toilet.
Okay it is the dark ages etc. but how good was the original? As someone who grew up hearing all abt the Antichrist, the Rapture and the other fun times ahead I was too jaded to appreciate the 70s original. The dog attack scene is fun , even if it's a ripoff of Suspiria. Death to all makers of remakes, except for Invasion of the Body Snatchers, which requires a freah take every twenty yrs or so.
I know there is a lot of remakes, and it has to be tough. there are so many 'die hard' fans of the originals that they just tear the new one apart. I had a girl tell me how scary the new amityvill horror was, I told her to watch the original if she wanted to see a good movie. Children of the Corn, The shining, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm St, Halloween, Cujo, some of them you just cant remake. They shouldnt be remade, Hollywood needs to wait about 40 more years to do remakes of the 70 and 80s horror films. That way we will mostly be dead, and not around to say, "Hey that fucking sucks"
Space Vampires was particularly bad. Blood Rayne was also an exceptionally horrible piece of cinema. Kristiana Loken is incredibly hot though. Even though she did no martial arts training whatsoever for the movie. I wonder what Micheal Madsen was thinking when he chose to do that project?
you guys forgot, "house of wax" if it wasen't for the death of paris Hilton, Vincent Price's family would sue
If it wasnt for the really hot chick in the Tx chainsaw massacre, and the alledged 'real crime scene footage' at the end, I wouldnt have watched it. But that chick is so hot. . . .
Jessica Biel? Not redeeming enough to justify the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Was Blade Trinity also a good movie then?
I can justify an hour and a half of my life watching a hot chick. Trinity wasnt awe inspiring to me,but it had some decent scenes in it.
Blade Trinity was a giant shit-smear on the face of Western Culture. "Ready to die, mother fucker?" "Ready to die, Blade?"
No, there has been many a worse movie than that. Have you seen 'dirty love' with Jenny McArthy and Carmen Electra????? Attack of the Killer Tomatoes? Killer clowns from Outer Space? the 50ft woman?
I already mentioned Killer Klowns, 50ft woman was pretty bad. Anything ever featured on MST3K is up there with the worst we can think of.
