'Cos of location & upbringing I was always a league man. I used to think Union was the only sport where the crowd saw more of the ball than the players. As a spectator sport though it's improved dramatically since the players went full time. I hope we fuck them all over especialy the S. Africans, but that team under Clive Woodward has a history of grasping defeat from the jaws of victory, so I wouldn't shout too loud just yet.

I agree, however form, pool and commitment should allow us to wave the flag of St. George a little higher as opposed to the football element of English sport.

You think we're going to beat Turkey?

Sorry TOLB mate, but who and when are you referring to?

We lost against Australia when we sent our 2nd Team down under in '99, but aside from that minor blip we haven't lost to anyone of Test match significance since...we beat Australia at home, which no England team has ever managed to do in over 100 years.

Even when we lost to France last month that was a Colts selection, which is essentially the 2nd/3rd choice team....

Also, we haven't lost at 'Fortress' Twickenham for 4 years. Which is more than could be said for any other English sport.

    Define success for me.

Dub, the pathetic show in the QF of the last World Cup against S Africa, and losing 3 grand slams to massively inferior opponents is what I was talking about.

    * Gets a bit giddy at the thought of Dubya getting back on his "doctored" soap box *
