This is the deal. If you want to save Fugly, and are prepared to pay $3 US a month to do so, then note your name below. We need to do this in order to gauge the amount of support that Martin has. If you don't want to pay shit, fine, just don't pollute this Topic with your criticism. This is for Fugly supporters only. (Random thoughts: perhaps this is an empty exercise in that only a handful of true fuggers will chip in. Could $30 US a month really help? Is Martin really that destitute that he couldn't get the $30 together himself? Will the non-Forum folks pay such a fee? Martin, we need a dollar figure on the operating costs of this place if we're going to get serious about this!!!) Also, I say that if we pay for Fugly, then we should, as paying Fuggers, get to vote for site content. No taxes without representation, right? I kind of like the idea of having a sense of ownership of Fugly, and I'm sure many others feel the same way. Of course, Martin is still our Overseer and Commander-in-Chief, and perhaps he could retain some limited veto-power. But some kind of democratic element to this Save-the-Fugly campaign would be nice... Yup, that's about right, but it takes more than a distant threat to get a fugger up and running. Most of us do need shotguns to the head before we whip out the cash. But it's a moot point. The time is now, and if we can amass the moolah, maybe it'll make a difference. Or maybe not. But I say a last-ditch effort is better than just throwing in the towel in despair. Get up and fight!!
