heres those two SNES SMB games kind of a shitty image but the candian one is the lower one. its got french on it for those french canadians.
I think the bottom one was released here, too. The reason the carts look different is because of the locking mechanism on the early SNES systems violated some copyright somewhere, so they had to make the newer systems without the plastic lock that engages into that slot when you turn it on, and the newer carts shaven down like that so they can't lock. Same shit with the original gameboy games, from the GB "Pocket" onward, none of the games have locked in place. I think they put that french shit on the back of newer carts here, too. Probably cheaper to make one version for USA/Canada.
