Ok Chet, I love fucking hockey, I love watching it too. I live literally 4 blocks from the MCI center here in DC, where the Caps play, or should I say the ALEX OVECHKIN show. But

I love going to hockey games, but can't stand to watch it on tv... I follow college basketball - sometimes. But my love, is football.

Got one more down here in Jawja too. I wish the freakin NBA would go bankrupt. Not too much hockey down here, but we have a local minor league team, its more like boxing on ice. I dont understand it, but I will load up the fam and go get some cold beers and watch em lose.

Did you see that quote from Johnny Dammon? I guess he swore, on record, that'd he'd never be a Yankee.

Steinbrener (sp) has promised NY fans a World Serries. If it don't happen, I'm guessing Torre will get most of the blame though.

I just dont think you can put that many 'high dollar' players on one team and have any cohesion(How the fuck do you spell that). If you dont have your 'blue collar' players there is too much resentment and infighting.

Kind of like that world baseball classic. You put all the stars on the field for a competetive game, they look like crap.

    Unless you're Japanese.

But I agree, there is a LOT of ego going around. But, I like Randy Johnson a lot, and Curt Schilling (I'm aDbacks fan...) did great--I hope he's recovered from last year.

They need to get the Marlin's out of Florida ASAP. I heard San Antonio is willing to pay 2/3 of the cost for a baseball only stadium. I heard Vegas was very interested too.I'm semi-close to Vegas, so I'm hoping someday they'll have something other than the 51's.

How come it's a "World" Series when all the teams are from the USA?

Hang on, Toronto get a look in too, don't they?

Yeah, Toronto won a few, I think they won back to back in 90-91 (correct me if I'm wrong). They call it the World Series because back when they instated it no one else played baseball. It was just the U.S. and Cuba for awhile. That, and Americans are incredibly ethno-centric.

    Is Cuba still in it?
