The 11 heavily redacted search warrants provide the first official details on the July 23 deaths of Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her daughters, Hayley, 17, and Michaela, 11. Hawke-Petit's husband, Dr. William Petit, was badly beaten but escaped. Investigators found traces of rope-like material around the ankles of all three victims and tied to the two girls' wrists and bed posts, according to the warrants. They also found three partially melted one-gallon gas containers. "One of the deceased was burned beyond recognition, with indications that an accelerant was liberally poured on her," investigators wrote in one search warrant. "The remaining two victims appeared to have some indication of accelerant being poured onto or in close proximity to them, but not to the same degree as the other victim." Hawke-Petit also was strangled, while the two girls died of smoke inhalation at their home in Cheshire, according to the medical examiner. The two men accused in the deaths, paroled burglars Joshua Komisarjevsky, 27, and Steven Hayes, 44, both face capital felony and multiple murder, kidnapping, sexual assault and arson charges. They are scheduled for another hearing on Nov. 6. Bail for each man is set at $15 million. Move along folks move along. There is nothing hatefull going on here. Nothing hatefull, not a hate crime.
Where was this at and how does the father 'escape'? Nothing personal, but if something like this was happening to my family, the last thing I am going to do is escape. I am going to save my family, and kill the perpetrators (in a nice painful way, since I dont like guns). I can whip two peoples asses pretty quickly, I can whip five peoples asses, it just takes a little longer. Here we have had a lot, well not a spree yet, of smash and grabs. Where the criminals are kicking in the front door, and either subdoing the occupants, or just grabbing stuff and running out, of course I will be on the National News if they ever kick my door down....
Oh, please. Every house should have at least two guns. I think you should be allowed to shoot someone on your porch. I don't want to wait for them to break in. I'd peg them from the driveway even.
I don't have any guns although I am an expert shot with an M-16A2 and the 9mm Barreta (got the scores to prove it, yo) but I'm all for killing someone by any means necessary if they intrude. If I did have guns in the house they'd be locked up where I probably couldn't even get to them in time.
I keep a .40 Caliber Beretta within reach at night. Now would I have the wherewithal to use it in the middle of the night is anyone's guess.
If someone breaks into your house you definitely want to kill them if possible, because if you just injure them your homeowner's insurance has to pay their medical bills.
.40 Caliber Beretta sweet I have the Tarus replica of that one. No doubt Phat I mean knowing your familly is being assulted how could you not be blind with rage. I lived on a street one time where we had a theft and vandal problem. I sleep lite. I hear running down the hill towards my house which is at an intersection. I knew something went down at a friends house up the hill so I come running out the door in my briefs barefoot accross a gravel drive and damn near got to the bastards before they loaded into a car and drove off. Funny thing as the car drives off there is my neighbor accross the intersection in his front yard in his briefs. I guess its a good thing I was not sleeping as I normally do. We laughed about that later but at the time we both just turned around and went back in our houses.
