I've been a little shy when it comes to this, but there's something I just need to know. I know it might sound a little silly, perhaps that's why I've waited so long to ask. I'm just going to put this out there - I can't stand to keep it in any longer. I just need you to give me an honest answer to something that's been gnawing away at me for quite some time now. OK. Here goes. I've heard varying reports when it comes to the Coriolis effect, and just have to know, since you're south of the Equator, if you fill your bathtub up with water, then open the drain, does the draining water swirl in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction? And, if you were to swirl the water opposite the direction of the vortex, will it drain in that direction for a little while before reversing itself? Oh, and if it isn't too much to ask, could you post pictures of yourself while doing this experiment? Thanks.
Same for a toilet flushing I always heard. Funny thing is I was South of the Equator before and observed a toilet flushing. I made note of the direction it turned as a matter of fact took a video and sent it home. I do not know what happened to that video it was back in 89. I cannot for the life of me tell you what direction it went either.
Whoa... That's fucking insane... Do you mean to tell me that they actually have toilets south of the Equator?
I live just outside of manchester in the UK and ive just tried it and our bog dont swirl it just goes straight down( we must have bigger shithouses over here compared to your faggoty yank ones) but the water in the sink goes down clockwise, somehow i feel better for knowing that.
...still waiting for Reiz to chime in on this one. So, Tommeh - how's that sobriety thing workin' for ya?
