I know we have had our moments. But I must say you two above anyone else have helped me with my posts at other boards as well as this one. I know my English leaves something to be desired at times, but I work on it day by day.

Anyway I been taking my local news channel to task & I have applied what I have learned from you two to there.

I'll proof-read them before they go to post if you'd like. It might help you be taken more seriously. Not be overly critical, but if you call someone out for being an idiot, saying it correctly would bear more weight. I know you got your point across but if I can't wield my English degree from time to time I begin to question it's validity.

I only studied Shakespeare so I could correctly and succintly ask, "Wouldst thou likest fries with that?"

Fugly -'no child left behind!' :)

That's how it's meant to be. It's partially influenced by Joe's style, remember?

And bitter irony ensues as I made a typo on that line. I'd like to say I did that on purpose but I know you wouldn't belive that.

The story you did last week about gas price gave me a great chuckle when Governor BeeBe spoke. When he said that they couldn't give us a break on the gas tax due too the money being ear marked for road improvements.

It's funny I've been watching the same stretches of highway being worked on for over 15 years with little to no progress to be seen. Then he spoke of the food tax cut which is great and all. But as most things this day the stores have just raised prices of the products so little or no savings is to be seen.

Then he went to the standard politician talking point of "alternative fuels" Which is great. I actually drive a Flex Fuel truck. But the thing is were I live no E85 gas stations to be found as in the link I provide.

    *://gasprices.mapquest.com/searchresults.jsp

Also none in Little Rock either.

    *://gasprices.mapquest.com/searchresults.jsp

    What about Bio Disel?

We have 2 stations in Little Rock for those who actually have a car that can run on Bio.

    *://gasprices.mapquest.com/searchresults.jsp

Once again 0 near me. I would bet it would be this way for most of the state except for the major areas.

Then we have to talk that E85 & Bio Give you less gas Mileage then Gas does. My truck a 2000 Ford Ranger gets 20 mpg combined on gas. If I ran E85 in my truck I would only get 15 mpg. I would lose 5 miles to a gallon of gas. But it's cheaper right? The national average price of E85 is 2.44 a gallon which as of right now is cheaper yes. But with the loss of mpg I would have to fill more often then I would with gas hence actually making it more expensive to use E85 over gas in the long run. Plus with the use of E85 corn prices have risen as well making it harder to find in stores and more expensive as well.

    Facts on my truck

    *://*.fueleconomy.gov/feg/noframes/16412.shtml

Then the other point is the flex fuel cars themselves & the Hybrids. Have you seen the price of a Hybrid car? They run in the mid to upper 20's. Now what average Joe can just afford to go out and buy a new unproven technology? You still have to buy gas for them. Sure they run on an electric motor part of the time. But the motor runs on Batteries. Last time I checked Batteries produce very toxic materials and at some point you have to replace them. Then those batteries have to be disposed of. Lets not even get into maintenance cost on an electric motor if it breaks down.

Also is Governor going to help anyone with a break on sales tax and registration to go out and buy these cars? I mean he was pushing for this? Is he going to start giving state funded grants or loans to small business men to open E85 stations in Arkansas? Then give them a tax break? These are the questions that needed to be asked in the segment. It's great to talk about the prices and give him a platform to shoot off "talking points" (period) It's a whole other thing to take him to task on what he says. It's time to start asking the tough questions of the Government officials in Arkansas.

I've watched Channel 4 news for a long time. But ever since the "Book of Danial debacle" I have seen a change in the way the news on Channel 4 is handled.

If their is one thing I like to be totally bias and without bias is my news, and KARK isn't that way anymore. It seems they are kissing everyone who goes to churches ****. What about people like myself who don't believe in God? Do we not have a right to be represented as well?

I mean it's kind of like Non Smokers not liking it when a Smoker blows smoke in their face. I'm tired of having the right wing religious agenda shoved down my throat from Foxnews & KARK as well. I have certain feelings about some things (comma) I won't get into here (comma)but I'm just tired of the faith matters & this matters and that matters. ALL NEWS MATTERS!

The soldiers missing in Iraq is more important then Falwell passing away (comma) yet you led with that (ending sentence in a preposition). As far as I'm concerned (comma)Falwell is a big of a crook as the rest of the TV evangelists. Also (comma) always bringing up former Gov. Huckabee every night is down right annoying. He has no chance of becoming President. No one is going to vote for a man that doesn't believe in Evolution. He's an idiot playing and simple.

Also (comma) don't tell me to change the channel. If you couldn't change the Channel for The Book of Danial and griped until it was removed. (?)I got every right to raise hell til I get a real news cast back on Channel 4 and not a collection of religious agenda stories and fluff pieces.

So please get God out of the newsroom and give me real news!

I'm the OP of this topic and as someone else pointed out something is wrong with board handing out warnings when nothing offencive has been typed.

I contacted the webmaster (comma) but as I never received anything back (comma) I made a new name. Maybe they can correct that in the future.

Now back to topic. The last poster spoke of history and Falwell and how great he was. Really (comma) was he a great man? I would say he was a bigot if anything using the power of the bible for his own gain. So (do) we want to talk history(?). OK.

You know the funny part. Someone will come in here and probably correct everything you posted.......... Because you might have a PHD, But we both know your English skills are about on par with mine.

With me being slightly ahead as I can spell most everything correctly unlike you.
