Overwintered these little beauties. Very happy with the results.

nice refreshing pictures.. i went to N.O. today for the first time since the storm. i'd made it as far as waveland while helping with the rebuilding efforts, but never got any farther because the worst of all of the damage was there. anyway, seeing louisiana was amazing. the worst part was seeing the shape that the low income housing is still in, and knowing that those who lived there had very few options after the storm. it was heartbreaking. heading into MS/LA the trees are still bent down and twisted and although there's lots of green which is a great symbol, you couldnt shake that ghost town feeling coming through some of the neighborhoods.

but then, as i came across the bridge i saw that hiddeous bright yellow 'adult video' sign that was always there with a smaller sign under it that said 'now open'. ::)

Yeah I love that about the spring. Spent the last few days working on the landscaping myself. All my plants are little seedlings though for the most part.

You know, I don't mean to make jokes about Katrina, but it just seems to me that people who lived in a place called WAVELAND would have not been too surprised when the storm surge hit. I mean, take a hint. Would you live in a town called TORNADOVILLE, or FAULTLINE, or RATTLESNAKE JUNCTION?

that was an apology? hmm.. a good class topic might be the different ways to apologize and insincerity vs. sincerity. i was watching my son apologize to the older girl he knocked the hell out of with a sword last night and i wondered about this very thing.
well, after a hard day at work, i'm off to fresh market to get wine, marble rye and food to cook for my husband. love the lucy by the way. oh, and bongo's kidneys are fine. it's just cancer. and no, i still havent had my scrip refilled.

How old is that dog? Does it ever limp or seem to favor one rear leg over the other?

Lucy is 18 months old. The place on her leg is just a scratch from running through the bushes. She walks fine.

Is that a Duchshund Basset mix? its hard to tell. I know Dochshunds (I figure if I keep spelling it different I will get it right sooner or later) are cool as hell I had two growing up. Any way I have had two dogs with knee issues and both had that tiny little knee cap that would jut out and the tendon would pop out of its groove.

Thanks. I still laugh at that Conan O’Brien .gif I guess sooner or later it will get old but seeing PeeDiddy sitting back there looking uncomfortable like he doesn’t know what to do cracks me up every time. ;D

    No such thing.

There are plants that are mosquito repellent unless you crush them up and rub them yourself. No plant repells mosquitoes just by growing.

It's best just to keep standing water away from the yard, use a few tiki flames, and spray a little DEET on yourself. If you don't want the DEET, I have heard that SKIN SO SOFT lotion is good.

West Nile was found in your area last year, and will be back this year. I wouldn't trust a bush to save me.
