Its.. man planets... fresh blood.. live tissues... a hundred million virus dimensions made complicated wagers on lodging for a night or so... outside an open window a lone roach caught the whisper of joy... giving thanks it waved at the sky... three sun cycles later the Its left... it was months before they finished their party leftovers... virus bets paid in mutations... mites and mates thought of distant children out in the world of bright lights... the bit of dung the mite had made with skin and blood and fungus echoed in the memory of this bright time....
