they are made for AOL users. Like moron proofed computers, but you lose 75% of the cool stuff computers can do. and Barry shame on youfor eating at Mcdonald's. I'm a fat fuck and I wouldn't eat at Mcdonalds on a bar bet
They act like they are awesome simply because they never knew any computer could type a word document or access youtube.
After years and years of dealing with PC's I'm actually looking to make the switch to Mac. Mac's OS is Unix based and, for a developer who uses Unix servers, it's much easier to work with them. I recognize the perception of the typical 'mac guy' as an effete douchebag who can't function unless everything is presented to him in a slick looking GUI but for a person who wants to develop web applications for a Unix environment, it seems like a much better computer than a PC. Other than your problem with the "I'm a Mac" cocksucker, who looks to me like he'd take any opportunity he could to sleep with your girlfriend, what's your beef with Apple? It's clearly a superior product. But then again, there's always Ubuntu.
My biggest gripe is price. With apple, they make you BUY one of there machines that are always priced 300%+ over the cost of a PC of equal value. Granted, you can build your on cheat machine, but how many people will do that? Instead just dump $3500 on a new G5 or whatever the new layout is. Whynot run a partition and run Ubuntu? It's free, and you can just use a live disk, no harm no foul. P.S. Apple is made by the asians and there good for nothing squinty eyes
Yes, they screw with you just like a lot of large companies, if you need help you need apple certified hardware and software, you need to send your machine to them to fix because they use their own configs and you need to call their tech support each time which costs a lot.
There is a Tiger OS available for VM Ware (probably more now but it's been years since I even messed with MAC and virtual machines). I use VM ware everyday at work, heck I even have Servers that are just little spaces on some disk, that think they are real computers, ha ha ha ha. But I havent found a use for MAC in a business environment. Just run the MAC OS in a virtual session, then when you are done feeling self righteous you can just delete it. Ive worked on MACs in the past and not a fan. They work, but they arent feasible in a work environment, not to mention the Apple smugness you have to go through
