Watched the replay today, it was pretty funny, even with 4 other people in the room while I was trying to describe how the fuck it happened... That damn outdoor light the had kept overheating, so it was fading in and out, and it wasn't on when I made the forward jump, but you could make out the ramps getting kicked the fuck back... Honestly, I think they just served to give me just enough traction, and coupled with the left rear wheel, enough torque to clear the damn thing again. Had so much shit in the back (seats folded down, pots & pans, glass, etc) that it sounded worse than it was from in the car. I'm going to try and import the video on that system, save it to a USB drive (if nothing else, film the replay in HD) - either way, I've got to seriously clean up the video, most of it's pretty dark, and the 'jumps' are best labeled by the taillights... I seriously thought about posting it on Youtube, and I want to put it to music: "The Breakfast Machine" from the Pee-Wee's Big Adventure soundtrack - in fast-forward, with me making all those trips around the car, jacking it up, walking up the ramp to get the blocks, cement bag, etc... It'll be classic. And I swear, I'm still going to unload on that ridge just out of spite. Not only did I tear my damn mudflap off, but in the daylight today, I noticed that I put a small dent in my muffler. The concrete must die.
Oh, and I'm going in Thursday morning to pick up the Glock 26. I returned those $40 ramps at Walmart today (had to 'shave' the bottoms a little so they didn't look like they'd been ejected from under a ton of weight across concrete... but they took 'em back), and ended up buying $60 worth of 9mm ammo in the same trip. 200 rounds of 115 grain FMJ (target) & 50 rounds of 147 grain JHP (practice) God, I love how cheap these rounds are...
