Postal system, Fed-Ex, UPS.. vs Medicare/Medicaid, Aetna, BC/BS...

You make a good point we already have a safety net for uninsured lets leave well enough alone since the system works just like the postal system.

What they are proposing to do is run public health care at a loss for decades till people figure out they are paying for their neighbors insurance (gov't) working hard and driving a Ford Pinto while their neighbor takes their rotten kid to the clinic on your tab driving a Lexus. Eventually people just become angry but join in and dump their private plan. Obama wins and you are no more likely to get your tumor fixed on the Govt plan than you were on Medicare/Medicaid. The only difference is that the same holds true for the more productive among us.

If we go public funded health care. The news for the next decade will be that public health care needs more funds and the meanie Republicans are blocking gramma from her medication causing her to die a slow and painful death.

Once again the situation becomes more dire than before and the proposed solution...... MORE SOCIALISM.

That is because you are a liberal victim and you are conditioned that way by your party of sanctimonious hate. While I'm just trying to give you good honest advice. It's easy to hate someone when your on the side against sadness, pain, hunger, famine, violence, rape, and mean people. And anyone who disagrees with you is obviously inconsiderate and mean not caring about the state of sadness, pain, hunger, famine, violence, rape, and mean people so long as it doesn't effect themselves.

    Oh. Good. Lord.

Not something I can even give the proper time to this evening (err... morning.)

I will say outright that if you drew a "you and your kid oughta die" outta me, then either I was a bit too abhorrent in a topic, not necessarily directed at any individual, but maybe struck a chord when I posted a general statement that might've hit a nerve, or you just have read too much into a particular diatribe I've posted, probably one of which I feel is on the subject of not only bankrupting our once great country, but also took it a bit personal?

To give you a quick answer to your question to Joe (which, I know wasn't directed at me, but I'll answer anyway) - If I were in that situation:

    Honestly?

I would feel fucking terrible that the fate of natural selection did not smile upon myself, or my family.

If I were a religious man, I would accept the fact that I was not chosen fit enough by my Lord to contribute to future generations, and I would probably mourn for my Earthly existence, and subscribe to a hope-based notion that the same invisible man that had smitten me has some 'grand plan' for my spirit, and would make things all better, so I could sleep comfortably at night, while I slowly died.

If I were not a religious man, I would accept the fact that some portion of my genetic makeup is not suitable for passing onto future generations, and I would find comfort in knowing that I would not allow my diseased seed to poison future generations. And, I would probably mourn for my life, as I came to terms with the fact that future generations of my own species will benefit more without my genetic material polluting the gene pool.

Either way, I would make the best of the situation, and devote my life to enriching the lives and futures of those fortunate enough to have a reproductive advantage (after all, that's what life's all about!)

***EDIT: Consider this my answer to the other thread. Didn't think I'd go off as detailed as I did when I started it, but pretty much said everything.

What happens if you're to old to be worth treating? Like you are in your 60s and retired, no longer a part of the 'working class'?

He doesn't even make any sense. What the fuck does cancer have to do with having kids?

People usually get cancer AFTER they have had kids... when they are older... you can't predict that shit.

Just skirt the question when you don't have an answer, huh? I'm not into politics, but i am assuming that's what right wings do.

    The correct answer would be:

Good fucking point. I have no clue. I pray to whatever gods may be that I don't have to think about that.

Unfortunately many do. And that is the problem. The burden falls on all people.... healthy and sick. People abuse the system now and thanks to them, this is where we are.

Maybe if doctors didn't hand out pills right and left, we wouldn't have so many welfare cases crying that they need Vicodin in the ER? They should just get in a loud speaker and say, "No pain medicine will be given today" and watch all of the people in there clogging up everyone's time leave.

I agree. Unfortunately you have to have the sheeple hooked on something to take something else away. As long as they get their pills they can handle anything else.

ya know ... no matter what I say, you guys will be you... and no matter what you say... I will be me.

I am 100% sure I would feel different if I was a guy with no children.

but I am not.... and no matter how many you "jokingly" dress in drag, you will never in my shoes. But like I said, things change, and no matter how secure you feel right now... it can all go to hell real quick.. then Boom, new shoes, new attitude.

but whatever... I am in a good mood today, found some cool news on my house, met a hot indian doc, got flirted with by a perverted old man at the tag office... and the young hot doctor.. so lets wait till I am in a pissy mood.

and its my birfday. so lick it.

oh and all you guys like to be the smarty pants with your solutions... well I never say this... but lets give it a try ... Look at my situation, WHAT do suppose I do, what is your EXPERT advice? Too late to not breed.. the milk is spilt .. Tiny Tim is here- with his fucked up heart... , and dammmm terrorist baby is coloring on the fucking walls with an orange magic marker... shit I lost my thought. will try again later - gotta clean this up and get ready for birthday outing with people I dont really like .

Yes the Dr's should stop handing out meds like it is candy. But they are intimidate that their 12 years of school and lifetime of hard work will be null and voided by some indigent wino with pro-bono [sp] lawyer will sue him for every last penney he owns due to a society of jurors who are brainwashed to hate successful people.

I think Mumzy mentioned cancer of thge nutsack hence no children.

Who skirted any question in this thread?

Or better yet I do not think I skirted any but some were skirted I know that for sure. In your book were they lefties or righties?

I was without insurance when I got layed off of my last job for a few months. I tanned, painted a fence, cleaned out the garage and then got it fucked up again, tweeked with the car, increased my certifications in my field of work, and sent out about 200 resume's and went on a few interviews.

Uninsured from February till the end of June actually.

    And nothing happened.

    Your point?

I was uninsured and had vaginal bleeding for 4 months straight and was afraid to go to the doctor until I got insurance again. Afraid it was something serious and that if I got insurance, they would say it was pre-existing... that's their favorite cop-out.

Ok so you go to the Dr. and pay for it yourself.

    And?

You more than anyone should want cheaper health costs. So get on the band wagon and campaign against the parasitic left forcing the insurers to take measures to protect themselves from lawsuits.

Looks like Obama is working hard to create new attitudes all of it Republicans fault.

You go to the dr, self pay and get DX with something, you get insurance and that something or anything similar comes up, they won't cover it.

And if it had been some serious shit, I wouldn't have been able to afford to pay for it.

That's her whole point. Bad shit happens and then what do you do?

People without health insurance are charged MORE than people with insurance. Insurance companies get big discounts... how is that fair? They make it impossible for someone w/o insurance and living paycheck to paycheck to afford to pay for their healthcare w/o going on some payment plan that they can't even afford.

Insurance companies consider any claim a loss. I think it's fucked up when you pay for a service and when they provide the service, they consider it a loss. Hmm... sounds like fucking theivery to me.

No one clicks your links, BTW. I am pretty confident about that. Unless you have something to say, you are just wasting your time with the links.

I can pretty much guarantee that she is not all "Obamawashed". Just because someone sees a problem with something doesn't mean Obama had anything to do with it.

I'm glad your coming to your senses Pukey a problem the Republicans have tried to address and are blocked doing it. The Obama plan does not address this problem or Tort reform the reason is they want the system broken not fixed. They only want one thing and that is Socialized medicine.

There are different kinds of people those who are shallow and stubborn they already drank the koolaid. Then there are the ones that cannot help but notice the connection

Big Mamma : "Different shoe, different attitude"

Obama: "If I give everyone shitty shoes they will turn to me even more in desperation"

Others do believe it or not click the links behind the headlines and see what Obama has to say. It's Obama's propaganda not mine.

I think it would be best to reform health insurance, make an affordable option for those that cant get it through work, make a 'gubment' offer for those that are really poor. Peach Care would have been great, but dont leave the state and get hurt.

They need to reign in the costs these insurance companies are inflicting on us, and maybe offer things for the less fortunate. They need to control these lawsuit hounds that want to sue (sew?) everytime a doctor makes a mistake. I dont sue (sew?) McDonalds everytime their dumbasses fuck up my sausage mcmuffin with cheese (for some reason they always want to put that rubber egg on it). What if I was allergic to eggs and it almost fucking kills me, do I get to see 'shaquita' for her typo with her big crooked ass nails? No.

Fuck, sorry, just wanting to vent, dont fuck with phatboys breakfast or he'll will break you off something proper.

    Yep.......

    Hold on!

We got Medicare and Medicaid. Hmmmmmmm.

    Let me see.

    Who does that cover?

The State of Louisiana made hundreds of millions of dollars off of not fixing the levies that surrounded New Orleans. The talked about it. Taxed about. Studied it. Proposed on it. Campaigned about it.

Why the hell would they want to stab themselves in the back and fix the problem they had built a whole career system on?

Tort reform and controls over price fixing for groups might fix the problem with the existing system why the hell would they want to do that?
