So ya all scared? I'm not, and frankely I'm getting quite pissed off at the media hype and over reacting on this topic. The shot? Fuck that, no way in H E double hockey sticks will I inject myself with that shit.

That shot is worse for very horrible side effects than getting the swine flu it's self. I have been doing a lot of research on this and a lot of peole are so missinformed about the swine flu and the shot.

I just feel so sad for those in the U.S.A that are being forced to take it, hope they don't make all of the U.S.A do that :frown:

Interesting... you should post the links. I think it is a big fear scam, the idea is scare the hell out of people so they will agree to give up more of their freedoms and support socialized big government health care.

I have known like 7 people that have had it... said it was mild... the regular flu is worse. But this one has a cool name.

Sand nigga still has his stock pile of Tamiflu... he is all up on the hype. He never watches the news, and has no clue how many deaths the regular flu causes each year.

I am slightly worried about Evan , but with any flu... not just swine...

In my area people are freaked out... I do a fake sneeze here and there to make people move hehe ... so yeah karma will prolly kill with H1n1

Exactly, where I live there is an estimated 400-800 deaths a year from a regular flu, and that's just 1 province, really sad how uneducated some are.

I'm sorry, but that guy is a tool. He's into alternative medicine and pushes a bunch of books. Hell, you are prompted to sign up if you want to read the article!

    http://genome.fieldofscience.com/2009/09/scare-mongering-about-flu-vaccine-and.html

Read about Joseph Mercola O.D. He's a freak and has been in trouble twice with the FDA for making fake claims about his products.

From what I can see, the swine flu vaccine is no different than getting a measles, rubella, mumps or chicken pox vaccine. It's an attenuated vaccine, which is a weakened live virus. (Still trying to find out about virus shedding and it's severity, if any)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attenuated_vaccine

I'm just wondering when it mutates (which it will and it will take out a shit ton of people when it does) if having immunity to H1N1 will help you better deal with the mutation. I can't find an answer to that... yet. Still looking.

I don't think it's all hype. It's already killed more children this year than the average flu would in a year. Which is why if I had kids, I'd have them vaccinated.

"This new strain is different from regular winter flu because it strikes the young far more than the old, and child deaths are drawing particular attention. Eighty-six children have died of swine flu in the U.S. since it burst on the scene last spring — 43 of those deaths reported in September and early October alone, said Schuchat.

That's a startling number because in some past winters, the CDC has counted 40 or 50 child deaths for the entire flu season, she said, and no one knows how long this swine flu outbreak will last."

Anyway, I'll be watching this when it comes out. I saw one really interesting show about it this week. It's scary stuff.

Sometimes ( a lot actually) alternative meds are the way to go, so true with a few family members that had cancer. Modern meds gave them 6 months to live, alternative meds helped them live 4+ yrs.

Everyone has thier opinion on this, I personally don't always belive what a doc or government tells me. I won't be getting this shot, I'll take my chances, I don't fall into the catagory where I have underlying health probs.

Like Bigmama said, it's actually pretty mild, like a seasonal flu, and I made the mistake of getting a seasonal flu shot 4 yrs ago, felt sick for almost a year, no thanks to that again.

    ...forced to take it?

*disclaimer: I am not watching the entire video - I have my own opinions on this bullshit inoculation scheme to try and get the 'public option' shit passed

Are you referring to this bullshit with the kids before they go to school? (I'm assuming that this is nation-wide)

I have gone without flu shots for the last 5+ years, and am skeptical.

I know. I don't take any meds for my disease... just probiotics. Dunno if it helps or not. I think people are over prescribed out the ass and I don't agree with that at all.

I just don't like the way that guy goes about things. I don't like people who try to scare you into buying their product or book. It makes me not trust them or anything they have to say.

I feel like if you truly want to help someone, why not just give out the advice for free? Why try to profit on someone else's misery?

Don't tell him that there are strains of Tamiflu-resistant H1N1, but there are. Or tell him if you want to scare him.
