Anyone ever switched out the liquid in a lava lamp before? I got one of the 'original' ones from the sixties as an Xmas gift, and the liquid's a bit cloudy, just want to swap it out for some fresh fluid...

What the fuck is in those things, anyway?

Heh... I googled and found that page myself... There's a recipe for some distilled water, (non-iodized) salt, dishwashing soap, and a prayer...

Fuck... I just want to fix this goddamn thing without buying a whole new fucking globe.

is it cloudy because it got shaken up or is it just old mucky? my dad came over and shook mine up, but it went back to normal after i left it on for several hours.
