Dude at work had a Direct TV Tivo box with a 250 gig HD. The card reader crapped out and Direct told him to throw the box away. Well he brought it too us to see if we wanted to fix it and use it for ourselves.

So I gutted it for the HDMI controller card and the 250 gig HD. Which I just installed woo hoo nothing like more room at the cost of nothing.

It was just a direct TV Tivo reciver. The cards that go into those that you get with the account. It's in a dumpster now

he wants the faggy football player K card, that you can pirate for 20 minutes before you have to reprogram it. He dosent know that TIVO's came standard with Digital smart cards (U cards)

I always gut those when they come in to my work... Great source for HDD's that are barely used...

Actually I was just wondering what the case inside and dimensions were like. I'm surprised since some of those are decently large that I have not seen someone mod one into a case for an entertainment system computer.
