Very interesting news and very taboo for the press to publish as it seems to undermine the insurgent movement. Let’s see what the media does with that one.

Instead what we get from MSN is:

    Levee problems predicted, documents show
Homeland Security was warned New Orleans could be flooded for months

No shit Sherlock this is not news! On top of that the spin was anti Federal govt. Instead of "That Shithead Mayor and Governor Knew and refused to force a mandatory evacuation"

Well with 365 days in a year. Can you tell me which of those days the intelligence service tells all of its employees they are on holiday and are to cease spying in order to take the day off? But I suppose that would be top secret then wouldn't it?

I think I might have some useful news flash for ABC "I have reason to believe that on the morning of February 6th at approximately 0600 Briton well be involved in spying activity in Russia. At which point in time Russia will in tern at the same precise time be spying on Briton." Who knows the news room hotline number because I need to make a phone call?
    :p

I think if the media wanted to make the Federal Govenment look bad they wouldn't have bothered with Katrina, they should have gone after Lyndie England. But they didn't, and they won't. The fact is that the United States government didn't acknowledge that this is a systematic flaw in our military intellince. It produces bad intel, ruins the "on the ground" hearts and minds campaign, and violates international law. If we want to talk about the "leftist" media, why are they brushing over the fact that the United States is systemically torturing human beings, be they terrorist or not?

If it's any consolation to you, the Australian media is not brushing over that fact. (At least the bits not owned by Rupert Murdoch aren't.)

Problem is, we in Australia are in no position to do much about it, and our government is wedged so firmly up George W's arse we won't even protest about the illegal detainment and torture of our own citizen, David Hicks.

Add to this the fact that Australians, like most Westerners, are suffering a massive case of terrorism fatigue, and won't read past any headline more challenging than "Brad and Angelina's Baby Blues", and you can safely assume nothing will be changing any time soon.[/url]

Yeah, I just love how the right wing fanatics in my country love to bitch about the "liberal media" not giving them what they're do. What they're do is a good kick in the ass. The idea that the United States is a welfare state to them is idiotic. I blame Reagan, hooray for deficit spending.

And I misspelled due, grammatically incorrect. Sorry, I'll try and keep the standards a little higher on future posts.

Was the news, Blacklisted news at that. Your making the point exactly this is pretty much what happens with the media. Huge news it was actually and very telling news also. Instead of informing the people to this they switch to a history course of anti-American propaganda.

Aztlan? They can have LA for all I care. I care for the Hispanics there then 80 percent of the other shitbags there. But It will never happen at least they way they would like it. You see they will see that it can all be accomplished by joining the Communist oops I mean the Democratic party.

Isn't it interesting that: Iraqi rebels turn on al-Qaeda

Sorry bout that Smiles I forgot about you for a sec. I did not link to the article for effect if you search it in Google you should get it but its amazing how little you find. Question is does that bring into question the validity of the article? I suppose so but if you consider the fact that different tribes there are at war all the time it is not so surprising it basically fits the "MO" so to speak.

Lemme go and dig it up again....

    http://www.theage.com.au/news/World...Qaeda-in-Ramadi/2006/01/24/1137864886503.html

Google news search pulls it up the exact same article from several publications. Further inspection revels the source as the associated press.

Its four days old now and was not afaict picked up by any major media outlets. But the story to me indicates a very telling truth about the insurgency. I'm sure there is no need to explain you can draw your own conclusions.

    A. unsubstantiated

    B. I see no problem with it

Remember there is no Geneva Convention in play here. I am no authority on the rules although I studied them at one time I am not sure they would apply anyways. But if she is supporting him then she is an enemy also. She can be arrested for aiding and abetting if not simply providing comfort to the enemy. The fact that she is released is sad really cause we should not be releasing them.

But then again at that standard I suppose Howard Dean should be arrested also.
