I'm trying to get car insurance with a new company and they ask if I've been in an accident and technically I have but I wasn't driving my vehicle and the claim didn't go on my insurance. So should I answer yes or no to the question?

If they are asking you then they probably arent a good insurance company. Most will just do the leg work themselves.

I would stick with some of the bigger ones, I use Allstate, have for years, actually since I was old enough to drive, I have shopped others but I dont get BSd around if I have a complaint or claim and my local agent is a pretty decent guy (even though he is an AUB fan)..... I might pay a little more than I would with 'Safe Auto' but I dont have to worry about something happening and the insurance company saying I dont have ficus protection.

I have State Farm and was thinking about switching to Geico, but I think I am going to just keep State Farm.

I had an accident, where a guy ran a red light hit my truck 100% his fault, no doubt, and I had to fight tooth and nail to get them to fix my truck. My knee broke the ash tray (it wouldnt lock back up) because when he hit us head on my knees slammed into the lower part of the dash, they wouldnt pay for it. they said it was broke before the wreck, the truck was a year old 05 and I dont smoke, I only put change in the ashtray, but apparently I broke it for shits and giggles. ... ..

The good thing with Allstate was that they handled my truck getting repaired and sued Geico for the money. So it all worked out.

Yeah, I read some bad things about Geico. The bitch I hit last year had Geico. My friend has Geico which is why I went there to begin with. It sure as shit isn't for their stupid commericals.

I've had State Farm since I've been driving. My husband totalled his car last week and is taking over possesion of the car I bought a few months back. (No more car payment for me!) and I decided to drive my old car which didn't have insurance and State Farm wants to you pay a month deposit so you end up paying for 2 months instead of 1 and you don't see that deposit until you cancel your policy and I think that's gay. I've been their customer for 14 years and that's how they are going to treat me?

    My advice for the day:

    Always wear your seltbelt.

That does suck. Allstate doesnt do that, or they havent yet, as often as I sell Hondas I am probably giving them a handful of money at every trade, but I usually see it on the next months payment, where they creidited the account, depending on how long I had the Honda. So you are giving him the Aztec? Thats nice. You are just putting a guarantee that he wont pick up hookers.

Yeah, the Aztek is definitely not a chick magnet. It's a good car though. It rides really smooth and the inside makes up for the outside. I'm kinda bummed about it. I'm going to miss it. I decided that the next car I get is going to be a Nissan Sentra.. an 07 or 08. They are priced good and I really like the way they look. They also have kick ass crash ratings and are really good on gas.
