Anything by Tim Willocks, try "Green River Rising" first, it rocks.

An American guy (I think) called John Connelly has written a trilogy, Every dead thing is one of them and another is dead hollow (again this is another guess from an addled brain) Read the three in order, the books are about a serial killer. Very dark, very funny and very scary. Trust me on this, exellent reads.

Update on that post. The books are:
    1 Every dead thing
    2 Dark hollow
    3 The killing kind

Found out from his web site he has two more out, The white road and Bad men.

Gonna look on Amazon for the latter two cos this bloke is one hell of a writer. Oh and his name is John Connolly not Connelly.

pfft.. I'd call the images in the boxcar children set more "sketches" than pictures..

I just finnished reading this book called the rapture of canaan... it's like.. every stereotype about hutterites, and ammish and clean feet mormons.. stuffed into one book... kinda creepy.
