it is hard to get light colors right. I always paint my living rooms and bedrooms a burnt sage color or olive color. One time I fell in love with this burnt terracotta / pumpkinish color... it was so pretty. Got it on the walls, and looked like Home Depot Orange. when I buy a house, I want a dark blue kitchen- a weird blue color, I bought all this blue stuff on sale, and have not opened it. I would really like a rusty red living room one day. But I hate when a house has colors that are very different in each room.
I painted it yesterday with Lowe's paint. This time the color is better but it doesn't match the swatch and it's too light. Would more coats darken it? I'm getting sick of painting. The new couch comes today.
Oh, this new paint... the color is nice when it's wet and then it dries and it's lighter. What the hell is up with that? I've never had problems with paint until this week.
Well you given me the gumption to paint this past weekend, bathroom is olive, and kitchen is yellow, oldest daughter wanted a rainbow mural, 2nd eldest wanted polka dots all over hers. I noticed that the paint in bathroom and kitchen dried lighter than expected so its not just you
I do hate painting it took up my whole weekend "the man" was irritated like I conned him into it, it is time consuming and since when we bought the house we painted it quick so we could move in the last paint was everywhere so the edges look like shit In a nutshell - looks great wont paint again for another 5 years
