I've played every one of those games at one point or another in my life. I really liked Magic when they had the Alliance expansion.

The weirdest game I ever played was called "Hole". Character creation was both hilarious and stupid at the same time. You could even die while making the character. That has to suck.

Where did my youth go. Sigh.

 

What about Hackmaster? To get a decent character you have to build them with Built Points. You earn build points by rolling on the chart that gives you mental disorders, beserking rages (all the enemies are dead, but you have damage left to deal out...gotta attack the party) or missing limbs.

Really, who wants to be the one legged warrior?

 

I used to play AD&D a lot, back in high school, and college. Also played Traveller, Chill, and Marvel Superheros. Never did get into Magic...if I wanna play cards, I play for $$$$$$$.

I mentioned Rifts...in paper/pencil games most outcomes are determined with dice.
